count zero four

“COUNT ZERO FOUR” is a digital sculpture embalmed in ninety nine layers of monochromatic husk. It is one of a series of “Count Zero” sculptures created in 2021 to simulate the feeling of falling into something with no bottom. Its name comes from the computer programming term “count zero interrupt,” which was invented by William Gibson to describe a type of computer crash that sets the system to zero.

You can see it in its inaugural exhibition here.
